Miss Alex Rockman To All Instructors

Miss Alex began her dance training at age three in Sun Prairie, WI. At age eight, she moved to Dance Studio 3-D where she stayed through high school. She has been called “fearless” in her dancing. Her training consists of ballet, pointe, tap, jazz, lyrical, modern, musical theatre, and acrodance. Growing up, Miss Alex has participated in summer intensive programs as well as many master classes. Miss Alex received her BFA in Dance Performance at Northern Illinois University training in ballet, modern, jazz and tap. She also got the privilege to work with Joel Hall Dance based in Chicago and professional Spanish dancer Susan Wincek.

Miss Alex choreographed her first solo at age nine. Since then, she has choreographed for musicals, other solo and group work on dancers of all ages. She co-created Project AIR which creates a space for a collective of dancers over summers to create and present work with other professional dancers. Miss Alex has also had the honor of working with the trainees and performing with Magnum Opus Ballet for several years.

While still in high school, Alexsandra started teaching classes at Studio 3-D in Deerfield Wisconsin. She taught a range of ages from eight to eighteen in the same class. She has since been teaching for Acts 17:28 dance in Brookfield and realized a dream of opening her own studio, Dancing with Heart Studios, in 2024.

Miss Alex is excited to be joining FLAME for the second time after assisting the High School Choir with Choreography in the 2016-2017 school year. She looks forward to meeting the students and helping them learn about the gift that is movement!
