Mrs. Hannah Sevilla To All Instructors

Hi there! I’m Mrs. Sevilla (Ms. “S” and Ms. Hannah are also great!) I hold a BS in Secondary Education/Broadfield Natural Science from UW Oshkosh. The “Broadfield” part means I couldn’t pick which science I wanted to teach, so they let me stuff nearly all of them into one degree :) I’ve taught public, private Christian, private in-home and online, and at homeschool co-ops before moving to Madison. We came here from Rockford, IL at the end of 2021, just before the arrival of our fourth child. Since moving, I’ve been excited to see where and how I can put the science “lab” I’ve collected over the years to use again besides for our kids - so along with loving the community at FLAME for my kids and me, I’m delighted to get to teach science as well.

Adding Apologetics to my classes is an exciting privilege. As a homeschool student, I started my apologetics education with a two year course through my church called "Spiritual Boot Camp," read nearly all of C.S. Lewis's work, and studied Creation Science as a hobby. As a college student pursuing a science degree, I found my faith challenged in ways I had never imagined. I'm delighted to get to share some of the tools that carried and sharpened my faith during that season, and some new things I've learned since!

I love reading (especially sci-fi!), DIY projects, games, fun facts, thrifting, road trips and travelling, pretending to homestead, baking, swimming (especially in lakes, but any water will do!), camping, and being anywhere with family and friends.
